We can be grateful. We want to recognize and thank our fans and followers for such thoughtful outpouring of messages & concerns, and also for the financial support through lessons, donations, and merchandise sales. Our gratitude is overflowing. This is a strange time for us all as each day of this pandemic unfolds. There are so many unknowns. We know the ripple effect has deep implications, and is affecting everybody. We know many people in our communities are getting laid off, or aren’t able to work for some reason or another. Our hearts go out to everyone, especially those hit the hardest. We musicians find ourselves in the unusual position of not being able to do our jobs. So we are getting creative, and offering online lessons, live streaming concerts from our living rooms, and hoping for the best. I think the most unnerving part is that we don't know how long until we can all go back to work. On the bright side, we are at home, it is spring, and maybe in some way, having a windfall of time where we have all slowed down will spur everyone to connect more with those closest to them, write more letters, make art, play outside, catch up on home projects, put in gardens, and play music. It is definitely an exceptional time to connect with gratitude and joy in our daily lives. And smile. Even if you don't feel like it. It's still good for you:) It is all too easy to get bogged down with the overall gravity of the worldwide situation we are facing. We all need to keep up with the news and what is happening in our communities and we all need to shut it off for a time and do things for joy. Please take care of yourselves and those in need during this trying time.
