There's a cool hotel in NE Portland called the Kennedy School where a lot of people stay. It's an old school that got remodeled into a hotel, and I know it has a ginormous hot pool. That would be in walking distance from the venue. There are also Airbnbs all through the neighborhood. The Spare Room Lounge is where most of the events will happen. So you can check out addresses in relationship to that place. As for staying in the country, east of Portland would be the closest countryside. Corbett is a nice town out in the country and is about 20-25 min east of the city, and the NE neighborhood.
